    Dharamsala Attraction : Tsuglagkhang Complex Dharamsala

    Tsuglagkhang Complex is a Dalai Lama’s temple complex in Dharamsala. It is a holy building complex, close to Mcleod Ganj. Tsuglagkhang or Tsuglag Khang is the main temple complex in Dharamsala, which consists of various interesting and interconnected sacred and historically significant buildings, and buildings within buildings, including the residence of the Dalai Lama.

    Tsuglagkhang complex is house to Dalai Lama, the chief of Tibetan people and which also encloses a monastery, a cafeteria, a Tibetan museum, a book shop, library, prayer wheels and some Buddhist shrines.

    In this Temple services are held everyday and are attended by lamas, nuns, monks and lay people. Visitors are allowed to move anywhere in the complex without any obstacles and  troubles but first remove your shoes and walk clockwise around the temple and past the chorten (prayer wheels) before seated down. In the temple Central Chapel boasts of a wonderful and magnificent 3m high gilt statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Other two statues are Avalokitesvara and Padmasambhava.

    The statue of  Avalokitesvara present Dalai Lama and Padmasambhava, the Indian scholar who introduced Buddhism to Tibet. This is the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet, and it has a large meditation hall

    Tsuglagkhang Complex is location near Mcleod Ganj and is overlooked by the mountain ranges of  Dhauladhar
