Location : This fort is locted around 15 km from Jaipur and on the top of the hill its called the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli hill ranges.
Jaigarh Fort is also known as the 'Victory Fort' and it considered as one of the spectacular forts in India. In year 1726, Sawai Jai Singh III was built this fort for the security purpose of Amer Fort and the palace complex. Because Jaigarh Fort is located on top of the hill and Amber Fort is at the bottom.
Jaigarh Fort has many structures of medieval India, which are worth exploring. The design of Jaigarh fort is similar to the Amber Fort and can be visited on the same day. The length of the fort is 3 Km (1.9 mi) along the north-south direction and a width of 1 Km (0.62 mi). Main attraction of this fort, it has the largest wheeled cannon or Jaivan which was manufactured in the fort precincts.
In Fort you can see the Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Vilas Mandir and Aram Mandir. It also has a well-tended garden where the royal family resided. Here you also see an assembly hall of the warriors that is called "Shubhat Niwas", armoury, museum. In Jaigarh Fort tour you can seen the ingenious water storage system. In Jaigarh Fort museum you see the great collection of antiquity coins, photographs, puppets, weapons and the articles of royal rulers.
