About Monkey Point
Monkey Point is also famous for a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. According to hindu mythology, before jumping on the Sanjivani Hill (To collect the herb to cure Lord Laxman. ), Lord Hanuman landed on this place. Interesting factor of this palces is that , there is the number of monkeys found here so that the hill top is called as Monkey Point. Generally the monkeys are harmless, but tourists should be careful of their belongings and take extra care of their children.
This area is also note that under the authority of Indian Air Force hence a prior permission is required. The monkey point provide the mesmerizing view of Chandigarh on a clear night
How to reach
Monkey Point is easily accessible by taxi/car or on foot. It takes nearly 2 hours to walk to reach the point from the Mall Road.
