    Manali Attraction - Raghunath Temple Kullu

    In the year 1650 AD Raghunath Temple was built. It is dedicated to Raghunath Ji. It attract pilgrims and tourists. It is situated on a hillock, this majestic shrine gives panoramic views of Kullu valley. The total driving distance is 1 km from Kullu.

    History
    In 17th century Rajah Jagat Singh was constructed this temple. It is one of oldest temple in Kullu City.Temple is design in  Pyramidal and Pahari style. The idol of this temple is taken from Tretnath temple. It belief is that it is the same idol that was used by Lord Rama.

    There is a story of construction of this temple, in this valley a Brahmin was found with lots of pearls. Than Rajah Jagat Singh ordered his army to take Brahmin and away from him. Rajah was felt guilty after this incident. To free over his guilt, Shri Kishan Dass ji Paihari gave the advised to construct a temple of Lord Rama. After this Raghunath Temple was constructed and dedicated to Raghunath Ji.

    Famous for
    Raghunath Temple, Kullu is fampus for celebrated  Dussera festival. Rahgunath temple is renowned for its seven day long Dussehra festivals. At this occasion thousands of devotees come from all over the world to attend the celebration that is held for 10 days.

    In this Temple Puja is held here five times a day and 45 festivals are held round the year.
