    Mount Abu Tourist Attraction : Dilwara Jain Temples, Mount abu

    Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the famous tourist attraction of Mount abu. Dilwara Temples are the world famous Jain temples take the name of Dilwara.The scenic succulent green hills surrounding the temple gives a very engaging sensation.

    Location : Dilwara Jain Temples is located in Dilwara village 3 km from Mount Abu.

    About Temples
    Dilwara Jain Temples are most sacred pilgrimage centers for the Jain. Between the 11th and 13th centuries AD, These temples built by Chalukya and these are world famous for their stunning use of marble. These beautifully carved temples in white marbles are dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras. You might see occasional monkeys looking for food outside the temple area.

    Dilwara temples are a composite cluster of 5 temples and devoted to five jain trithankaras(saints). Some consider them to be one of the most beautiful Jain pilgrimage sites in the world. 

    Vimal Vasahi Tmple : It is also known as Shri Adi Nathji temple and it is dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankar lord Rishabh. This temple is build by Vimal Shah, Minister of Solanika ruler of Gujarat in 1031 A.D.

    Pithalhar Tmple : It is also known as Shri Rishabha Devji temple and dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankar  lord Rishabh. This temple is known as Pittalhari/Peethalhar temple because most of the statues in this temple are built using ‘Pittal’ (Brass Metal).

    Mahavir Swami Temple : This is also known as Shri Mahavir Swamiji temple and dedicated to the last Jain Tirthankar lord Mahavira. This temple was constructed in 1582 and is devoted to Lord Mahaveer the 24th Tirthankara of Jain's

    Luna Vasahi Temple : It is also known as Shri Neminathji temple and dedicated to the 22nd Jain Tirthankar lord Neminatha. Tejpal and Vastupal  are the two brother and in 1230 A.D. this temple was built.

    Khartar Vasahi Temple : It is also known as Shri Parshva Nathji temple and it is dedicated to the 23rd Jain Tirthankar lord Parshva. This temple was built by Mandika clan between 1458-59 A.D.

    Vimal Vasahi and Luna Vasahi temples are the legendary jain temples in the series of Dilwara Jain Temples. It seems fairly basic temple from outside but every temple has unique features 

    Timing to Visit the Temple : Dilwara Jain Temples are open from 12 noon to 6 P.M. 

    Facility : People who come to perform puja here, there are facilities to bathe and get ready. Guided tour is also available.
