Mount Abu Tourist Attraction : Guru Shikhar Mount Abu
Guru Shikhar is the highest mountain peak in Mount Abu but the whole of Aravali mountain range. It attract the many tourist as well many devotees.
Location : Guru Shikhar is located at an altitude of about 1,722 meters above sea level in Mount Abu. It is located just 15 km from Mount Abu.
About Guru Shikhar
Guru Shikhar is one of the famous tourist attraction at the point of trekking. Tourists can enjoy trekking at this mountain peak and can get an aerial view of the Mount Abu region. This peak is the home to the temple of Dattatreya, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In this temple you see the Idol of Guru Dattatreya. There is also a huge and giant bell suspended from a wooden frame with an inscription dated 1411 in the Dattatrya temple. Many Hindus in the Western Indian regions believed that Dattatreya is a God.
If you go to the north-west side of Guru Shikhar than you can visit the shrine dedicated to Ahilya, the mother of Dattatreya. Other important temples situated at this mountain peak are Chamundi Temple, Shiva Temple and Mira Temple. Guru shikar peak provides a breathtaking glamorous view of Mount Abu town and green aravali range. The cool climate and serene environments make the peak a much sought place for seclusion.
