Legend of this Temple
According to the epic Mahabharata, Kauravas cruel son of Dritarashtra conspired to burn the Pandavas alive in the Jatugriha. This place is known as lakshagriha (palace of shelcla). But luckily they were saved by power Shakti and hence a Shakti temple has been constructed in respect of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
