Ma Anandamayee Ashram is a well known religious site of Haridwar and situated in Kankhal. In this Ashram you see the Samadhi of Sri Ma Anandamayee. She was a popular saint.
Sri Anandamayi Ma was one of the most impressive Platonic luminaries of the 20th Century. She was born on the 30th of April in the year of 1896. In her childhood days, Ma Anandmoyi exhibited spiritual bend of mind. She encouraged her followers to serve mankind and in return, not to hope for anything, even praise or acknowledgement. On the 27th of August in the year of 1982, Ma Anandmoyi had left the mortal world.
