About Piran Kaliyar 

Piran Kaliyar is a mausoleum of a Sufi saint named Ali`uddin Ali Ahmad Sabir. It is that place where sufi saint Makhdoom Sayed Alauddin Ali Ahmed Sabir lies buried. The tom is set  in a small village and village is known as Kaliyar village and this village is located just 7 km. from Roorkee. A ruler of Delhi Ibrahim Lodhi built this Dargah. The front half of the shrine is the antechamber while the tomb lies in the back half.

Everyday, there are hundreds of people visiting the shrine to seek the saint's blessing  as at the shrine of Hazrat Nizam-ud-din, or Baba Mu'in ud-din Chishti.

Main attraction : Here you can enjoy the Sufi music and you can attend the Qawwali sessions organised in the afternoons and evenings. During the Urs Festivals, Piran Kaliyar very busy. During the Urs Festival, devotees come here in hordes to pray and to seek favour from the saint.
