About Temple :

Binsar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Around 9-10 century A.D, Binsar Mahadev Temple was built. Some people believed that Binsar Mahadev temple was built in a single day. Binsar Mahadev is a unique place for yoga, meditation and it is located at an altitude of 2480 mtrs.This temple is surrounded by dense deodar forests. This is famous for its architectural finesse. 

Main idol of this temple Ganesh, Har Gauri and Maheshmardini. The idol of Maheshmardini is engraved with texts in 'Nagirilipi' which indicates the link of temple back to 9th century. King Pithu was built this temple in memory of his father Bindu. So that this place is also known as Bindeshwar temple. Binsar Mahadev is renowned for its Archaeological seriousness and its dense forest which is full of flora and fuana. The temple also has a ashram nearby, dedicated to Binsar Mahadev.

Important Fair

Here a fair is held every year on the occasion of Baikunth chaturdashi in the month of June. People beleived that desire of a child is fulfill here.
