Elephant Lake or Anayirangal is an idyllic picnic location which has a dam and a reservoir. It is located close to the nearby Tata Tea Plantations. The Elephant Lake was named so, due to the number of wild elephants that came here from the dense forests to drink water. Tourists maintain a safe distance from the elephants. It is surrounded by tea plantations, evergreen forests, rolling grasslands and hillocks.

Due to its panoramic view this place is frequented by tourists visiting Munnar.
