About Kundala Lake
Kundala is an idyllic place in Munnar located on the way to Top Station or Top Slip. Kundala lake is a picturesque locatioon near Munnar and it is situated at above 6000 ft above the sea level. It is surrounded by rolling hills and valleys of dense forests.Kundala is well-known for the Kundala Arch Dam or Sethuparvati Dam and Kundala Lake.

In year 1946, Kundala Dam was buikt for Pallivasal Hydro Electric Project, is considered as Asia’s first Arch Dam that provide the panoramic view of the catchment area of the Dam. The boating experience at this dam is a excellent experience beyond words. Boating facilities namely pedal boats, Kashmiri shikkara boats and row boats are available on rent.
In Kundala you can see the cherry blossoms that's appear twice in a year. The popular Neela Kurunji flowers which bloom once in twelve years, bloom in the hills and valleys around Kundala lake.
Some near By Attraction : Golf Course ground, Aruvikkad waterfalls and Kundala Tea Plantations are another some beautiful attraction near Kundala Lake.
