About Devikulam 

Devikulam hill station is located at a height of 1800 meters above sea level, with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air is a rare experience. The word Devikulam is divided into Devi + Kulam, Devi means Seeta Devi and Kulam means Pond. 

According to legend, the goddess Sita Devi bathed in the beautiful Devikulam lake waters surrounded by lush, green hills, now named Sita Devi Lake in Devikulam hill station. This lake attract many visitors not only because of its sacredness but also for the curative powers of its mineral waters. The lake has some virtuous significance and is also revered by the locals.
