About Temple
According to Hindu Mythology, people believed that Annapoorna Devi is to be the goddess of food. Most impressive thing about this temple is that it has no mandaps or pillared halls. Annapurna temple is built by the Annapurna math with a South Indian style gopuram. The main gate of Annapurna temple is ornamented with four life-size elephants that made of plaster of Paris.
The wall of this temple is ornamented with colorful images from mythological stories and idols of gods and goddesses. The Temple also has shrines dedicated to Shiva, Hanuman and Kal Bhairava. The Pravachan Hall of the temple is also very popular.
