Indore Attraction : Chhatris Indore
Chhatris is most significant sites in the town of Indore. It is an exquisite example of Maratha Rulers architectural style. Chhattris are the cenotaph and built in the memory of the Holkar rulers and their family members.

Chhatris cenotaphs are tombs and built near Rajwada on the cremation spot of the Holka rulers. Holkars ruled over a large area of the state of Madhya Pradesh. During the war between Holkars and British , British defeated the Holkars and they submit their kingdom and also lost their capital and they shifted to Indore.The city derives from the famous temples Indreshwar and Indrapur. Chhatris is a centotaph built over the ashes of a woman ruler of Malwa, Maharani Krishnabai.
