Balsamand Lake Jodhpur is one of the famous picnic place in Jodhpur.

About Lake

Balsamand Lake is an artificial lake and it was built in 1159 AD. This waster reservoir to provide water to Mandore. Balsamand Lake has a length of 1 km, depth of 15 m and breadth of 50 m. This lake is surround by green gardens and in the garden are the trees of banana, mango, papaya, guava, plum, pomegranate and other fruits.

Raj Ranchhodji Temple is one of the old temple that is located in Jodhpur.

Raj Ranchhodji Temple was built by queen Jadechi Rajkanwar. She was the queen of king Jaswant Singh. After the death of her husband she was built this temple. To buit the Raj Ranchhodji Temple by the use of red sandstone. This temple is dedicated to Ranchhodji. Inside the temple there is a statue of Ranchhodji. Wall of the temple is carvings with beautiful filigree work on the stone adorning.
