Lahaul and Spiti is a home around 800 year old monastery, Guru Ghantal Monastery. Guru Ghantal Monastery is another tourist attraction of Lahaul & Spiti. It is located at Tupchiling village.

It is situated at Tupchiling village at the confluence of the rivers Chandra and Bhag.
About Guru Ghantal Monastery
Guru Ghantal Monastery is 800 year old monastery. This monastery has idols of Guru Padma Sambhava, Brijeshwari Devi and several other lamas The monastery is associated with the Drukpa order and is made of wood. Padmasambhava was installed the white marble head of the monastery. Walls of Monastery are painted in stone colour, however, lack of proper preservation has resulted in the colours being washed away.
Main Attraction
On the 15th lunar day (mid June) a festival called Ghantal was celeberated at which the visiting lamas and Thakurs used to feast for one day. This Festival is the main attraction of Monastery.
