Triveni ghat is that place where many devotees take bath and offer prayers to holy Ganga Maya in the holy city Rishikesh. Literally meaning of Triveni is that merging of three rivers viz. Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is a most revered sacred bathing spot in Rishikesh and is situated on the banks of Ganges River.

Various pilgrims visit this place to take a holy dip in Triveni Ghat, before visiting the famous temples of Rishikesh. People believed that, to take a holy dip in Ganga at this ghat, the water of Ganga washes away all the sins and purifies the soul.

Major attraction of Triveni ghat is evening aarti, it is also known as the 'Maha Aarti', which takes place at this ghat. In the evening devotees sit on the steps of Triveni Ghat chanting hymns and offer their prayers with lighted lamps (aarti). Aarti is accompanied by chantings of bhajan, bells , beating drums and diyas glowing all over the place. This is a place where all tourists reaching Rishikesh pay visit without missing. "Pindha Shraddha" rituals are also done at Triveni Ghat
