In year 1910, CSI Church was built in Munnar. It is an important and famous landmark of Munnar. This is a Protestant building and built mostly in stone, by Scottish tea estate managers and workers. The stained glass windows depicting the saints and Biblical characters lends the church its unique charm. Stained-glass windows, brass plaques, rows of rosewood pews and an ornate chandelier is the main attraction of this Church.

Church Mission Society is managed and run this church. The church holds the faith and belief of people coming from different walks of life and administering the natural beauty and rest in the southern slopes of Western Ghats promoting the tea plantations.  Due to its location and its religious significance, CSI Church is most visited by the tourist.
