In year 1994, Asan Barrage was developing a water sports resort by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam. It is a major water sports complex that is developed in a modern way, keeping the needs and likes of the modern sport players in mind. Initially this complex was first created in the year 1967. But after lot of renovation and improvement so as to include the modern amenities and sports in its courses. It is also famous as by the name Dhalipur Lake sports complex.
Asan Barrage was created at the convergence of the rivers Yamuna and Asan, where they meet in the Dhalipur Power House.
Major Attraction :
Here tourist can enjoy the water sports like water skiing, boating, rowing, kayaking, canoeing etc. and it is also a hub of several species of migratory birds that choose this water resort as their home and dwell there for the whole winter season.
Best time to visit
You can visit Asan Barrage any time but the summer months and the months before the winters are conducive for the water sport activities.
