Bharat Mata Mandir is a unique and beautiful temple in Haridwar. Bharat Mata Mandir is also known as Mother India Temple and it is most visited temple in Haridwar.

About Temple

Bharat Mata Mandir or Mother India Temple is a eight stories. The temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata by her devoted patriotic nationals. Swami Satyamitranand Giri was setup this temple and in 15 May 1983 the temple is Inaugurated by late Prime Minister, Smt Indira Gandhi. Each floor of this shrine is representative of various mythologies, legends and deities and  representing a specific theme.

On the First floor, you see the Statue of Bharat Mata. In this Statue,  Bharat Mata holding a milk pot in one hand and stack of grain in the other hand. Here you also see the huge map of India on a raised platform.

Second floor title is 'Shoor Mandir' and this floor is dedicated to the legendary heroes of India or freedom fighters.  

The title of third floor is  'Matru Mandir' and this  floor is dedicated to Indian women and the holy wedlock of India such as Meera Bai, Savitri and Matiri etc

'Sant Mandir' is the title of the fourth floor, this floor represent the features all the great saints of Jainism, Sikhism and Buddhism.

Fifth floor of this temple is representing the an assembly hall, where all the practicing religions in India that are represented in a harmonious manner on the walls of the temple.

Sixth floor of this temple dedicated to female shakti or Goddess Shakti  and represented in different forms like Durga, Parvati, Sati, Radha, Saraswati, Kali etc

Seventh floor is dedicated to the incarnations of the Hindu God, Vishnu including Ram, Krishna and Matsya etc.

Last and eighth floor of this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and provide the spectacular view of the Himalayas and the whole complex of Sapt Sarovar. Rajaji National Park can also seen from the top of the building. 

Bharat Mata Mandir is also dedicated to all the patriotic freedom fighters, who contributed to the freedom of the country.
